Disneyland installs Disney ads in the It’s a Small World ride
This is actually something I was going to write about in February. I know that Disneyland can’t stay the same forever and that younger kids have a different view on Disney. I was sort of disappointed when they wanted to change Pirates of the Caribbean, but luckily they just added Johnny Depp. And the movie sort of followed the original story of the ride anyway, so it was well integrated.
But “It’s a Small World”?! With Toy Story characters? And they added a bunch of other Disney characters too. I don’t know how I feel about it since “It’s a Small World” hadn’t been changed from the one in the World Fair. I always thought it was cool that it was the only ride that wasn’t really about Disney. It was more about the message that it is a small world. But now it’s like a small world w/ Disney characters.
Oh well. As much as I love Pixar movies (especially their short movies), I hope Disneyland doesn’t turn into Pixarland.
